OEM / ODM Manufacturing · Custom Industrial Hardware

From Proven Platforms to Production-Ready Hardware.

Standard, modified, and fully custom chassis, power, storage, and cabinet solutions for OEM programs and long-life deployments.

Start with an iStarUSA platform or a blank sheet. Engineering and manufacturing support branding, I/O, drive bays, thermal design, materials, and cable routing from prototype through production.

Inside iSG Industrial

Metal process, in house.

Laser, waterjet, CNC, punch, bend, weld, and finish. The change is made on the platform, not added after it leaves the shop.

The factory

The platform is the deliverable.

iStarUSA Group was founded in 2002. Headquarters are in the Los Angeles area; the factory, iSG Industrial, is in Xindian.

A program is a new enclosure or a change to one already tooled: bezel, I/O, bay count, depth, or material. Fit of a non-standard request is subject to engineering review.

In-house metal process

Laser, waterjet, CNC, punch, bend, weld, and finish. Steel, stainless, and aluminum.

Drawings

Production drawings are typically ready in under five business days, subject to the complexity of the change.

Four ways to start

A sketch, 2D or 3D files, reverse engineering of a sample, or a change to a platform already in the catalog. FactorySmith models are held for these programs.

Process

Five steps from flat sheet to a finished metal part.

Every program runs through the same in-house process, whether it's a pilot lot or full production.

  1. 01

    Punch

NCT punching and stamping for covers, drive cages, and sheet-metal parts.

  2. 02

    Laser / waterjet

Steel, stainless, and aluminum cut to the engineer's flat pattern.

  3. 03

    CNC

Pockets, threads, and precision fits that punching can't hold.

  4. 04

    Bend

Flat parts formed into chassis geometry.

  5. 05

    Weld & finish

Spot welding, riveting, and surface treatment before paint.

Examples

What a change looks like.

  • 1U EATX chassis — power supply moved inside the chassis to lower noise.
  • D2-300 — custom front plate, bezel, and handle on the standard 3U platform.
  • Customer bracket — manufactured from the buyer's own design.

Scope

What this program covers.

  • In-house metal process: laser, waterjet, CNC, punch, bend, weld, and finish
  • Materials: steel, stainless, and aluminum
  • About 50,000 rackmount units a month, typical four-week turnaround
  • Production drawings in under five business days
  • Start from a sketch, 2D/3D files, a sample, or an existing platform
  • FactorySmith models are held for OEM/ODM programs
