System Build & Integration · Factory System Assembly

From Component BOM to Ready-to-Run Systems.

Integrate boards, GPUs, drives, power supplies, cabling, imaging, burn-in, and final inspection into one production-ready system.

Send your BOM, OS image, and test profile. We build each system to a controlled revision on iStarUSA platforms — from prototype lots through full production.

On the assembly line

The unit, not the empty chassis.

The assembly line installs the board, GPU, drives, power, and harness. Imaging, firmware, burn-in, and pack-out stay on this line.

The service

One revision, every unit.

iStarUSA Group was founded in 2002. Headquarters are in the Los Angeles area; the factory, iSG Industrial, is in Xindian.

You approve the BOM. The line repeats it: integrate, image, set firmware, burn in, inspect, and pack. A non-standard test profile can be evaluated before the first lot.

Integration

Board, GPU, drives, power supply, and harness installed into the chassis as one unit.

Image and firmware

OS image loaded and firmware set to the revision you approved.

Burn-in and pack-out

Burn-in, then outgoing inspection against the locked BOM, then pack-out.

Process

Four steps from a BOM to a packed unit.

  1. 01

    Lock the BOM

Platform, board, GPU, drives, power, harness, image, and firmware revision agreed before the line starts.

  2. 02

    Integrate

Components go into the chassis. The harness is dressed to that revision.

  3. 03

    Image, configure, burn in

OS image and firmware are applied. The unit is burned in.

  4. 04

    Inspect and pack

Outgoing inspection against the locked BOM, then pack-out.

Platforms we assemble

Platforms the line builds into.

FactorySmith barebones, rackmount chassis, and panel PCs are the mechanical base. This program fills them. FactorySmith models are not sold from open stock.

FactorySmith FS-14940 4U rackmount chassis for server boards
FS-14940 — 4U rackmount chassis for server boards, the starting point for a rack server build.
FactorySmith FS-1021 fanless Mini-ITX chassis for OEM barebone builds
FS-1021 — fanless Mini-ITX desktop. Board and I/O are planned in, then the system is assembled.
FactorySmith panel-PC chassis reserved for OEM and ODM programs
Panel PC — an all-in-one enclosure for OEM programs that need a display and a computer in one housing.
iStarUSA chassis family used as the starting platform for server assembly
Catalog chassis — rackmount and storage platforms the assembly line builds out into systems.

Scope

What this program covers.

  • Board, GPU, drive, power, and harness integration
  • OS imaging and firmware configuration
  • Burn-in and outgoing inspection against a locked BOM
  • Pack-out of the finished unit

Send the BOM, image, firmware notes, burn-in requirement, and quantity.
