What the IS-800R8PUC is built for.
The Xeal IS-800R8PUC uses the same PS2 Mini 1+1 redundant architecture as IS-600R8PUC, specified as 800W+800W. What changes is the rail budget: +12V rises from 49A to 65A, +3.3V/+5V each go to 32A with a 190W combined cap, and AC input current is 12A/6A at 115/230Vac versus 10A/5A on the 600W unit. Hot-swap modules, load sharing, dual C14 inlets, 80% full-load efficiency, 16ms hold-up, and the identical 150.1 × 85.1 × 199.1 mm envelope mean a 4U/ATX chassis that accepts the 600W cage can step to 800W without a mechanical redesign — the reason these two SKUs sit together as a wattage pair rather than as unrelated PSUs.
